Career Progression

Your career can progress as your character grows. You gain career progression based on what is shown in the progression table.

GM Career Rewards

In addition, a Game Master may grant you career progression as a reward for completing multiple quests, or completing a story campaign. This may be granted as frequently as up to every three quests. A GM is not allowed to grant a career more frequently than that. For quests - a career grant of +1 can be granted, while for completing a campaign, a career grant of +2 or +3 can be granted at GM discretion based on its length as a milestone achievement (As the campaign itself will grant career progression through the linked quests.

To pick which career is granted a progression in, the GM can pick and the player suggests an appropriate career they already have, or should be able to gain. In case where the most appropriate careers does not make sense to be granted for, for example:

The best fitting career is Tracker of Salvainian Army

But the quest involved tracking a white stag in middle of Runra, then the GM simply grant a progression to the appropriate profession of Tracker of Salvainian Army and then Consolidate the career into a new name such as “Tracker of Salvainian Army and Runra'', while granting it a progression. This can stack, so in theory, a character could gain an excessively long title. If it is capped out at +7, a new career should be granted, but the GM, at their discretion, may also consolidate the name.

Career Maximum Cap

A character may have up to a hard maximum of 15 careers. In case a character has a ridiculously high number of careers, it is the player’s duty, not the GM’s duty, to suggest an appropriate career for a check.
